Description

Commemorating one of Prague's greatest composers

As a highly influential composer of the 19th century, Bedřicha Smetana helped to shape the history and cultural importance of Prague. The Bedrich Smetana Museum is held in honor of his contributions, which include the revered classical piece, Vltava (The Moldau).

The Bedrich Smetana Museum itself is a large, neo-renaissance building, not too far from the famous Charles Bridge. Here you can see the beauty of the city, Prague Castle, and the Vltava River itself. As part of a larger museum complex, the Bedrich Smetana Museum makes for a lovely stop while taking in the history of Prague.
