The Vila Amerika, a stunning 1720s French-style summer house designed by Kilian Dientzenhofer, stands in stark contrast to the dull neighbourhood south of Ječná. This baroque building, one of the most impressive of its kind in the city, is now home to a museum devoted to the life and music of Antonín Dvořák. From May to October, visitors can take in special concerts of Dvořák's works.
