Description

Tram to view the city

With a long-standing history in Prague, the Funicular Railway has worked its way from transporting goods to transporting people. Constructed in 1851, the railway was once powered by water, and was acquired by the Electric Company of the Capital City of Prague during World War I, when it was reconstructed.

After a 20-year break spanning from 1965 to 1985, the Funicular Railway is now up and running again, giving the visitors and residents of Prague a comfortable way to take in the city. The tram runs from Lesser Town to Petrin Hill.
