The art gallery of the Academy of Fine Arts
Galerie AVU is an art exhibition space at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. It usually exhibits works by the students of the academy, acting as a bridge between them and the general public. The gallery also shows works by artists and students of other Czech and foreign schools.
The edifice housing Galerie AVU was built in 1891, and designed by Antonín Wiehl. The building was renovated and modernized in 2003 by architects Zdeněk Jiran and Michal Kohout.
