Art on the river

A fine functionalist art work in its own right, this building straddling a lock of the Vltava river is the largest of the Czech Fund for Art Foundation's network of galleries.

The beautiful, if rundown, piece of 1930s culture by Otakar Novotný hosts anything from international travelling shows to exhibitions of contemporary Czech artists and sometimes filmmakers.
