The historic Lucerna Palace (1920), located between Štěpánská and Vodičkova streets, is home to one of Nové Město's most elegant shopping arcades. Built by Václav Havel (grandfather of the former president), and still partially owned by the Havel family, the complex encompasses theatres, a cinema, stores, a rock club, and a variety of cafés and restaurants.
