Description

Central European modern art

One of the most respected and accessible art refuges in this district, the Kampa Museum has an enviable location on the waterfront of the city's loveliest island.

Its impressive modern art collection was amassed over decades by Jan Mládek – an international financier and former Prague student – and his wife, art patron Meda Mládek, both of whom lived in exile before the Velvet Revolution. Sculpture by Otto Gutfreund and work by Franti∫ek Kupka sits alongside refreshing work from abroad.
