Description

Hilltop stargazing

Built in 1930 for enabling the public to look up at the stars, the Stefánik Observatory is a great way to spend a summer evening with the family. The 90-year-old telescope still lets you gaze at the heavens, adding to the romantic mystique of Prague.

Particularly fun for children, the Stefánik Observatory is open from April to August, every evening. You can still access the telescope during autumn and winter months as well, just call ahead for opening times.
